Faubourg Saint-Honoré's grande dame — three Michelin stars at Epicure, the largest private garden of any Paris palace, and a rooftop pool styled as a teak yacht deck.

What works

  • 1,400 sqm private garden — unique among Paris palaces
  • Epicure: three Michelin stars, no asterisk for service
  • Rooftop pool with Sacré-Cœur view

Watch-outs

  • 190 rooms reads larger than the boutique-palace peers
  • Faubourg Saint-Honoré shopping crowds at the front entrance

Le Bristol sits at 112 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in the 8th arrondissement, between the Élysée Palace and Place Beauvau — the address is the Faubourg luxury-shopping corridor (Hermès, Goyard, Lanvin all within a three-minute walk) and the closest five-star to the British and American embassies. Miromesnil metro (lines 9 and 13) is three minutes from the lobby; the Champs-Élysées and the Concorde are an eight-minute walk south. The hotel has occupied the same Hôtel particulier since 1925 and runs as the flagship of the Oetker Collection alongside Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc and The Lanesborough.

The 1,400-square-metre interior garden — accessed via the lobby and the 114 Faubourg dining room — is the largest private garden of any Paris palace and the defining design feature. The Deluxe Garden Rooms face this courtyard directly; book one above the second floor for the best sightline. Rooms refurbished in the 2022 to 2024 programme use a Pierre-Yves Rochon palette of bouclé wool, oak parquet, and cream marble; pre-refresh rooms are still in service in the original wing and noticeably older. Confirm refurb status at booking — the front desk will not move you for free post-arrival.

Epicure is Eric Frechon's three-Michelin-star kitchen and the most consistently rated three-star restaurant in Paris by both Michelin and La Liste — the €395 tasting includes the signature macaroni stuffed with black truffle, artichoke, and aged Parmesan, a dish that has been on the menu since 2009 without revision. 114 Faubourg is the casual one-star sister restaurant on the courtyard at roughly half the per-cover spend. Le Bar du Bristol runs as the Paris bar to book pre-dinner from 18:00 to 02:00, with a strong American-classics list and the only working white-piano set in any Paris palace bar.

The Sense Spa by Le Bristol covers 1,200 square metres across two basement floors with a hammam, six treatment rooms, and a dedicated La Prairie Caviar Spa suite for the brand's three-hour cellular programme. The 17-metre teak-deck rooftop pool on the 6th floor is the differentiator versus most Paris palace peers — designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon to evoke a 1920s yacht deck and the only Paris hotel pool with a clear Sacré-Cœur sightline. Booking via Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts or the Oetker Privileged programme adds breakfast for two, a $100 property credit, and a 16:00 late check-out at the same nightly cost as direct.
