When Phuket is at its best
Phuket is Thailand's resort coast at the top end — Patong is the package-tour zone everyone warns about, but the western and southern coves (Surin, Kamala, Yamu, Naka Yai) are home to some of the most ambitious resort architecture in Southeast Asia.
